Travel Show at the Excel Centre

WTM

Having recently just returned from a short 4 day trip to Canada (this is why I’ve not written blog entries for a couple of days), I was very close to cancelling my plans to attend the Annual World Travel Market (WTM) Show at the Excel Centre in London.   From returning emails, phone calls, organising my week following a rather rushed trip to Canada, to getting over jet lag: -there were many reasons  for me to cancel plans to attend WTM.   However, I looked at my personal encouragement notes posted nice and big next to my computer monitor  “Be disciplined with deadlines and event attendance”

I’m so glad I went to WTM yesterday, because it was an incredible event!  It’s so good, that I must return today and speak to more vendors and make more contacts.  If you are planning to go to this event (today is the last day) here are some tips you may find useful:

  • The Information booth is not very visible and is tucked behind the large billboards and signage as you enter the building.  Just as you are about to give up  is when you will likely see this booth.  Here you should pick up a copy of the Route planner if you haven’t printed one online ahead of time
  • Print off your ticket prior to arrival to avoid the long queue (look for the pass holder queue at the West entrance – it’s much shorter)
  • If you don’t have a FREE pass, tickets are available at the door for £47
  • There is a courier service  (stand EM275 and ME1785) they will take all your brochures collected during the event and send to your office not only in London but also worldwide
  • Theatre Bookings discounts available via Encore from the Travel Services Desk.  Book early for discounts to avoid disappointment
  • A lot of my online readers always asks me if there is food at the venue.  The answer is Yes, there are plenty of eateries to choose from so you don’t need to pack a lunch =)

I’m off to the Excel now.  See you all there!  I really want to get a seat for the Motivation and Business Innovation workshop at 11am.  Below is a link to all of the workshops/ semninars running today  http://www.wtmlondon.com/page.cfm/Action=Seminars/CategoryID=19 The venue is massive, so plan before you get there otherwise, you may run out of time to visit your favourite vendors.

Enjoy!

    Hi Christine,

I enjoyed WTM a lot as well, we exhibited there at the technology section. I am friend of Anna G’s, it’s such a shame that I didn’t know you were attending, it would have been nice to meet you! We must organize a get together when I visit London next time!

    Regards,
    Tiina from Stockholm
